Welcome
It is with great sorrow that we come together today with the departure of our president and dear friend, Fr. Julio Giulietti, S.J. We have all come here to seek the truth, and to know and understand what has happened within the university walls and what has become of the reputation of WJU. In this light, please invite anyone to read the blog and feel free to comment as you wish.
Any posts with profanity are not welcome, otherwise, please speak your mind. You are a part of this university and we want to hear your voice!

Kudos to those who started Save WJU Facebook group and this blog. As a parent currently pouring thousands of dollars annually into WJU for my daughter's enrollment, I am thoroughly disgusted at the vile, underhanded manner that the Jesuit priests on the WJU boa...rd of trustees took to fire and besmirch this dedicated priest and fine man, Father Julio Giulietti, SJ. Those who did so should take heed: "There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known." - Luke 12:2
ReplyDeleteTo the Jesuits and all others behind this ridiculous act: I will just repeat what Anonymous said....
ReplyDelete"THERE IS NOTHING CONCEALED THAT WILL NOT BE REVEALED, NOR SECRET THAT WILL NOT BE KNOWN."
so is julio providing these legal documents? i have known him, and i dislike his leadership style for the university employees...he knows how to schmooze, but there were things going on that certainly warrented his firing. i think he cares more about himself than the university - case and point being how he has lashed out and reacted to the very thing he did to others while he was in charge.
ReplyDeletehas anyone noticed the poll? there are a lot of people who think his firing is just, including myself - i wish some of those people would speak up more for the university itself! this was the right decision and many people don't understand that!
ReplyDeleteMike, I personally have no stand right now whether it is just/unjust. Please tell us why it was a right decision.
ReplyDeleteAnd for the people who think it is unjust, state your point too.
The only thing we see here right now is the fact that the Boards do not agree with each other but the people who wanted the president out has won the battle.
Have you seen the NASA inspector general's audit report critical of WJU. Click http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/oig/hq/audits/reports/FY09/IG-09-020-R.pdf
ReplyDeleteThe NASA reports is an essential bit of information. In fact people have beed asking some tough questions about the CET and NTTC—and their funding—for years: http://www.corporations.org/welfare/inquirer5.html
ReplyDeleteMaybe Julio Giulietti was fired to put Davitt McAteer into the president's office because of the NASA mess. Julio was fired only two days after the August 3rd NASA report. McAteer was VP responsible for the Center for Educational Technologies and also the National Technology Transfer Center.
